Lock your cars when they are parked and be vigilant

This is following seven reports between 17-22 October, mainly in the north and west areas of Norwich, of people getting into cars and stealing items from inside.

It’s important to note that not all of the cars were unlocked, some of these the windows were smashed. Other suggestions from us include taking any valuables out of the car and not leaving anything on show. Even an empty bag can look tempting to opportunist thieves.

The kinds of things that are being taken include headphones, cash, work tools and wallets/purses.

While we investigate these incidents, we are urging anyone who has seen anything suspicious, or who may have information that could assist our enquiries, to get in touch.
