Lock Up Before You Step Out This Festive Season

Lock Up Before You Step Out This Festive Season

Dear Resident,

As the darker evenings draw in and the festive season begins, please take a few moments to think about your home security before heading out to celebrations. With Bonfire Night on 5 November and Diwali on 8 November approaching, a quick security check can help reduce the risk of burglary.

✅ Lock doors and windows
✅ Secure side gates, sheds and outbuildings
✅ Keep jewellery and other valuables out of sight
✅ Leave a light on or use timer switches to make your home look occupied

Even if you're only planning to be away for a short time, it's worth taking a moment to check everything is secure before you leave.

Please share this advice with family, friends, neighbours and members of your local community.
