Arrest made following Criminal Damage in Finberry |
||
|
Following reports of criminal damage to a property, which was believed to be a suspect trying to gain access to a dwelling in Finberry on 16 October 2026, officers carried out enquiries to identify the person believed to be responsible. Through partnership working between Kent Police and Avon and Somerset Police, a man was identified and subsequently arrested in Bristol on 20 October 2026. The man has also been identified in connection with a separate dwelling burglary in Sittingbourne on 1 May 2026. He has since been charged in relation to the Sittingbourne offence, refused bail and is due to appear in court on 22 October 2026. He has been released under investigation in relation to the attempted burglary in Finberry while enquiries into that offence continue. We recognise the impact that burglary and attempted burglary can have on victims and the wider community. This update demonstrates the effective partnership working taking place between police forces to identify those suspected of committing offences, progress investigations and hold offenders to account. | ||
