A Sticky Situation in the Sweets Aisle.

One of the nine arrests since last Thursday was a well known shoplifter who wasn’t having a lucky day. 

He was in the process of leaving the store with armfuls of chocolate when one of our colleagues emerged from a doorway, catching him in the act. He’s been charged and has a date with a magistrate. While a prison sentence is not likely, we are working on a ‘Criminal Behaviour Order’ (CBO) which we could seek to apply if he is found guilty. CBOs take a lot of time but they are a really effective way of managing criminal behaviour in the community.
