Dear Resident

With Halloween fast approaching, I wanted to get in touch and ask whether you have any concerns about Halloween-related activity in your area, or if there are any issues that you feel the local neighbourhood team should be aware of.

We understand that while Halloween is an exciting time for many children and families, it can also bring concerns around anti-social behaviour, nuisance knocking, property damage, and other disturbances. Please be reassured that the local policing team has been taking a proactive approach to help ensure that Halloween is both safe and enjoyable for everyone.

Over recent weeks, members of the neighbourhood policing team have attended all local primary schools across the area and delivered Halloween safety inputs to pupils. These sessions have focused on responsible behaviour, respecting people's homes and property, staying safe while out trick-or-treating, and understanding the impact that anti-social behaviour can have on local communities. The children have engaged really well with these discussions, and we are hopeful that this positive education will help prevent issues and encourage everyone to enjoy Halloween responsibly.

In addition, local officers and PCSOs will continue to patrol our communities throughout the Halloween period and will respond to any concerns that are reported to us. We are committed to working closely with residents to ensure that everyone feels safe and supported.
