MONTHLY MUNCH LAUNCHES TO BRING FOOD, FRIENDSHIP AND COMMUNITY TOGETHER IN REPTON

A fantastic new community project aimed at tackling loneliness and supporting those affected by the cost of living launched today, (Monday 19 October), in Repton.

Monthly Munch will provide a warm meal, friendly conversation, and a welcoming space for anyone who may be struggling to afford a hot meal or simply feeling a little isolated and in need of company in Repton and surrounding villages. The initiative will take place on the third Monday of every month from 1.30pm at Repton Village Hall.

The project is being led by Dawn and Helen from the Repton Memory Singers, with generous financial donations from St Wystan's Church, The Bean Man, The Spa Shop, St Wystan's School, Councillor Matt Benfield, Repton Parish Council, as well as support from Derbyshire Constabulary's Mercia Safer Neighbourhood Team and private donations.

Your local officer attended today's launch, and it was wonderful to see so many residents coming together to support this imaginative community venture.

Local police will also refer people they meet whilst out and about on patrol who may be hungry, cold or in need of companionship.

✅ To book a lunch, please contact Helen on 07738 018458 or Dawn on 07828 120025.

A huge thank you to all the volunteers whose hard work, kindness and dedication have made this brilliant project possible. Together, you're making a real difference to our community.
