With Bonfire Night approaching, Staffordshire Police would like to remind residents that it is illegal for anyone under the age of 18 to buy or use adult fireworks, including sparklers. Adult fireworks (Category F2 and F3) can only be purchased by those aged 18 or over. ๐ฎ If police find a person under 18 in possession of fireworks in a public place, an offence may have been committed, and the fireworks can be seized. parliament1 โ ๏ธ Retailers who sell fireworks illegally, or individuals who use fireworks unlawfully, can face fines and prosecution. Remember: โ You must be 18 or over to buy or use adult fireworks. โ Do not carry fireworks in public if you are under 18. โ Never throw fireworks or set them off in the street or other public places. โ Use fireworks responsibly and consider your neighbours, pets and livestock.
Let's keep our communityโs safe and enjoy firework celebrations responsibly.
