Good Morning NHM users,
On Wednesday 7th October the Oswestry Rural North Safer Neighbourhoods Police Officer Mike Hogg attended Weston Rhyn Primary School’s Bikers Breakfast as part of the school’s support of Cycle to School week, with children and families enjoying a light breakfast before school having arrived on their bikes and scooters. Whilst in attendance Pc Mike provided children and parents advice on bike and travel safety whilst also registering their bikes to the national Bike Register, with each student receiving a little pack containing fluorescent and reflective safety items provided by the Be Bright Be Seen campaign.
Weston Rhyn Primary school posted the following message on their weekly newsletter; “What a fantastic way to celebrate Cycle to School Week! Our Bikers Breakfast was a huge success, with children and families enjoying a light breakfast before school and arriving on their bikes and scooters. A special thank you goes to PC Mike Hogg, who was brilliant at sharing important bike safety messages with the children. His engaging and practical advice helped reinforce the importance of staying safe while travelling to and from school. It was wonderful to see so many pupils embracing active travel and enjoying a healthy start to the day. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event such a memorable way to mark Cycle to School Week!”.
Should any Schools, Youth Clubs or Groups, Social Clubs or Groups for both youths and adults who would like to have a similar attendance at an event or meeting to register bikes please get in touch with your local Safer Neighbourhood Team on their email below who will be happy to make arrangements.
