Immediate Justice Team clears Daventry pathway for local residents |

A pathway in Daventry has been tidied up thanks to Northamptonshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Danielle Stone’s Immediate Justice Team. People are referred to Immediate Justice by police as an alternative to prosecution after committing low-level offences. They complete a meaningful community penalty, avoiding going through the courts while still being served justice. The Team supervised one man in his 50s, who spent four hours clearing a path regularly used by residents in the Borough Hill area of Daventry. Immediate Justice makes sure that people that commit low-level offences and anti-social behaviour are held responsible for the impact they have had on neighbourhoods. Danielle’s Immediate Justice programme has now facilitated over 3,000 hours of unpaid work with more than 600 offenders in public spaces across Northamptonshire. You can expect to see the Immediate Justice Team back in Daventry to continue work on the path in the coming weeks.
