Theft from Poverest Allotments |

|
Hello, We have recently been in contact with the committee and representatives from Poverest Allotments regarding concerns about thefts occurring at the site. During our discussions, we were informed that a number of allotment holders have recently experienced thefts of produce from their plots. We appreciate how frustrating and upsetting this can be for those who invest a great deal of time and effort into maintaining their allotments. We have provided crime prevention advice to the allotment representatives, including measures such as improving plot security, securing sheds and equipment, marking valuable property, increasing communication between allotment holders, and considering the use of trail cameras or other appropriate security measures. We have also encouraged allotment holders to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity. The local Safer Neighbourhood Team will continue to engage with the allotment community and monitor any reports that are received. By working together, we can help reduce opportunities for crime and make the allotments a safer place for everyone. If you have witnessed any suspicious activity, have information about those responsible, or have experienced a theft yourself, please do not hesitate to contact us. Even information that may seem insignificant could assist with our enquiries. For non-emergency matters, reports can be made online or by calling 101. In an emergency, or if a crime is in progress, please call 999 immediately. Thank you for your continued support and assistance. Kind regards, | ||
