School workshops

Sutton North Safer Neighbourhood Team is currently working with local schools to help tackle online bullying among young people. Police have received reports of incidents where students have been subjected to abusive, harassing, and, in some cases, threatening behaviour from their peers through online platforms.

We would like to remind parents and carers that online bullying can, in certain circumstances, constitute a criminal offence. Any reports made to the police will be investigated and addressed in partnership with local schools where appropriate.

We encourage all parents and carers to speak with their children about responsible online behaviour and the potential consequences of posting messages or content that may cause distress, fear, or harm to others. By working together, we can help ensure that young people remain safe and respectful online.
