Halloween Advice |

Good morning,
Halloween is now 2 weeks away so to ensure we are prepared in advance, I thought it apt to share some advice as one of your local beat officers and on behalf of my colleague PC Brown.
🎃 Halloween Advice for Our Community 🎃 With Halloween fast approaching, many families will be looking forward to enjoying the festivities. However, it's important to remember that not everyone wishes to take part, so please be considerate of your neighbours and help keep our community safe and respectful for all. If you're taking children trick-or-treating: 👻 Children should be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. 👻 It is best to visit houses of people you know or those clearly displaying Halloween decorations or pumpkins. 👻 If a property is not decorated, it's likely the occupants are not taking part, so please do not knock. For teenagers celebrating Halloween: 🎃 Respect any "No Trick or Treat" signs displayed at properties and move on without knocking. 🎃 Do not use flour, eggs or other items as "pranks" as this can amount to anti-social behaviour or criminal damage. 🎃 Stay in groups, look after friends, and never enter the home of someone you do not know. 🎃 Remember that Halloween should be fun and not intimidating or distressing for others. Kent Police have produced a range of Halloween safety advice, along with downloadable posters and signs that residents and businesses can print and display, including: ✅ Trick or Treaters Welcome ✅ No Trick or Treaters Please For further advice and to download the printable posters, please visit: 🔗 https://www.kent.police.uk/police-forces/kent-police/areas/kent-police/campaigns/halloween/ Let's all work together to ensure Halloween is a safe, enjoyable, and respectful occasion for everyone in our community.
