Yesterday PCSO Boswell from the Safer Neighbourhood Team during patrols in the morning spent some time at the Birchover Reading Room at the Coffee Morning speaking to those persons who attended about concerns they had in the community. After dinner and in between patrols, I visited Tideswell Bishop Pursglove Primary School and spoke to year 5 and 6 children regarding the topic of Anti-Social Behaviour and the effects it has in the community. During the visit at the school, the children were enthusiastic about the topic discussed and asked questions throughout my time doing the talk. In the early evening, I was joined by officers from the Derbyshire Rural Crime Team at Hartington Village Hall and we spoke to persons who attended the Community Catch Up event which was hosted by the Neighbourhood Watch Coordinator from Hartington. The event was well attended and those came, got the chance to speak with officers from the Safer Neighbourhood Team and Derbyshire Rural Crime Team about concerns they had plus crime prevention. By hosting these events or by dropping in at these community events and holding these events too, it gives you the opportunity to speak with your local beat team regarding concerns that you have, sign up to Derbyshire Alert, complete a Derbyshire Talking survey and ask about crime prevention etc. If you wish to set a Neighbourhood Watch in community, please view the following link: https://orlo.uk/z7ve3 If you would like the team to visit your school or community group, please get in touch via the following contact method asking for Bakewell SNT. #CommunityPolicing #Priorities #Patrols #CommunityEngagement #SaferStreetsDerbyshireSee less
