Hello Beckton Another week has passed. Before I start, I have an appeal for information. Below you will read about a man we arrested who likes to wear Hi-vis clothing, ride a bike and shout obscenities at women (Mostly near Gallions DLR). Despite linking him to several offences, I suspect many similar offences by this individual have gone unreported. If you have experienced abuse by a male in hi-vis clothing riding a bicycle (especially by Gallions DLR), please report it to the police. Or contact me here first if you want to chat about it. When reporting It is likely you will be asked if you are willing provide a statement (potentially go to court) and identify him (likely viewing images). A busy week this week. For nearly a century, toxic ash and industrial waste from the Beckton Gasworks accumulated into a massive mound. In the late 1980s, the local council came up with a creative solution: they capped the mound with a plastic-bristled mat and transformed it into London’s premier dry ski slope.Known as the Beckton Alps, the facility was officially opened by Princess Diana in 1988. |
