Good News Story: Teamwork and Information Sharing Lead to Arrest

We are pleased to share a positive outcome following ongoing shoplifting incidents at Sainsbury’s on London Road.

On 9 October 2026, a prolific shoplifter attended the store and stole goods valued at over £120. PCSO Des (7298NA) and PCSO Mustapha brought the incident to my attention, enabling an investigation to be created and information to be shared with officers from Enfield Town and Whitewebbs.

On Tuesday, 13 October 2026, SNT officers came across a parked vehicle on Savoy Parade that appeared out of place. The officers carried out checks and discovered a male sleeping inside the vehicle. Further checks identified him as a suspect wanted in connection with three shoplifting incidents.

The male was arrested and remanded in custody pending a court appearance.

This positive outcome demonstrates the importance of effective teamwork, proactive policing and information sharing between officers and teams. By working together and ensuring information was acted upon, officers were able to locate and arrest a suspect linked to multiple shoplifting incidents.

A great example of how collaboration and communication can make a real difference in tackling retail crime and supporting our local community
