Dear Residents,

Unfortunatly Our beautifal park, Cuerden Valley has experienced some criminal damage and then arson over the last weekend (Friday or Saturday night 9th/10th October 2026)

Someone has decided to damage the fences and bridge on the path from Lower Kem Mill to Sheephill Lane. 

They have removed some wood from the bridge and started a campfire infront of the bench. This has left a huge mess and damage which the park will have to pay for and repair. 

If you have any information who has done this please get in touch. Whoever it was would have returned home smelling of smoke.

Cuerden Valley is for all of us to use and it is important that we look after it and support them.
