Dog Attacks

Dog Attacks

Hello Resident

Following a number of reports concerning dog attacks in Caerau, Maesteg Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) has been working to investigate the incidents and address the concerns raised by local residents.

As part of these enquiries, officers executed a warrant at an address this morning. A male was arrested and dogs were seized from the property.

We appreciate that it has taken a few weeks to reach this stage and understand that this may have been frustrating or concerning for members of the community. However, it was important that officers took the time to carry out thorough enquiries, gather accurate information and ensure that any action taken was directed towards the correct individual and dogs involved.

We understand the concern incidents such as these can cause within the local community, and we would like to thank residents for their patience, understanding and continued support while these enquiries have been carried out.

Information provided by members of the community has been important in helping officers progress their enquiries, and we are grateful to everyone who has come forward, spoken with officers or provided information.

Thank you again to the Caerau community for your patience, cooperation and continued support of your local Neighbourhood Policing Team.
