CCTV, doorbell and dashcam sought in your area in murder investigation

We have launched a murder investigation after a woman died in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

We were called by West Midlands Ambulance Service at 11.15am this morning (Monday 12 October), who attended Clayton Lane following reports of the sudden death of a woman.

Officers attended and, sadly, a woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman's next of kin has been informed.

A 47-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody.

We’ve created an online portal where people can leave information, CCTV, doorbell and dashcam footage they may have. You can access the Major Incident Public Portal, anonymously if you wish here https://mipp.police.uk/operation/STAFFS26N12-PO1
