As the nights draw in and the days get shorter, we often see an increase in residential burglaries and theft of motor vehicles.

Help protect your home and vehicle by: 

• Locking doors and windows, even when you're at home.
• Keeping car keys out of sight and away from doors and windows.
• Removing valuables from vehicles.
• Using exterior lighting, CCTV or alarms where available.
• Reporting suspicious activity in your area to the Police on 101 or 999 in an emergency.

A few simple steps can make a big difference. Don't give criminals the opportunity this autumn.
