Incident at Noodle Alley, Chinatown

Last week, an incident occurred at Noodle Alley in Chinatown when a man attempted to leave the restaurant without paying for his food.

Staff attempted to speak with him, at which point he assaulted a member of staff. The member of staff subsequently required hospital treatment.

Chinatown Neighbourhood Officers have since spoken with staff at the restaurant and carried out enquiries into the incident. The offender has now been arrested and cautioned for making off without payment and assault. He has also since paid the outstanding bill.

We take reports of crime seriously and will continue to work closely with local businesses and the wider community to help keep Chinatown a safe place for everyone.
