🎆 Firework Safety Reminder 🎆 As we head into fireworks season, we often see an increase in reports of fireworks being used irresponsibly, not just on Bonfire Night itself. If you're planning on celebrating, please help keep our communities safe by remembering: ✅ Fireworks must not be sold to anyone under 18 years of age. ✅ It is illegal to set off fireworks between 11pm and 7am, except on Bonfire Night when the curfew is extended until midnight. ✅ It is illegal to let off fireworks in a public place and this may result in a Fixed Penalty Notice or prosecution. ✅ Police have powers to stop and search anyone suspected of carrying fireworks unlawfully. ✅ The sale of certain fireworks, including bangers, mini rockets, aerial shells and maroons, is prohibited. Irresponsible use of fireworks can cause injury, damage property, distress local residents, and frighten pets, livestock and other animals. We're not here to stop people enjoying fireworks, but we do ask that they are used safely, responsibly and with consideration for neighbours and the wider community. Let's work together to make this a safe and enjoyable season for everyone. 🎇 Stay safe, be considerate, and enjoy the celebrations responsibly. #FireworkSafety #CommunitySafety #BeConsiderate #BonfireNight #StaySafe
