Closure Order Granted for 23 Station Road, Grotton. |

Dear Residents.
I would like to provide an update regarding 23 Station Road, Grotton.
Yesterday, Friday 9 October 2026, officers from the Saddleworth & Lees Neighbourhood Team, working in partnership with Oldham Council's Community Safety Team, attended court and successfully secured an extension to the Closure Order already in place at the property.
The original Closure Order was obtained following sustained reports of anti-social behaviour and criminality linked to the address, and I am pleased to confirm that the court was satisfied that the order should remain in force.
What does the extended Closure Order mean? The property remains subject to a partial Closure Order. This means that:
Anyone who enters the address without lawful authority, or remains there in breach of the Closure Order, commits a criminal offence and may be liable to arrest and prosecution.
Continuing to work together This extension demonstrates the continued commitment of Greater Manchester Police and Oldham Council to addressing the issues that have affected local residents for such a long period of time. Whilst significant progress has been made, our work is not yet complete and we will continue to monitor the situation closely.
I would once again like to thank residents who have continued to support this process by reporting concerns and providing information. Community intelligence remains invaluable and has been instrumental in achieving this outcome.
Reporting concerns If you witness anyone entering the property who should not be there, or believe the Closure Order is being breached, please contact Greater Manchester Police immediately:
This result is another positive step forward and demonstrates what can be achieved when residents, partner agencies and neighbourhood policing teams work together to tackle the issues that matter most to our communities.
Regards
PS 1650 Andy Holian
