Bike seized on Fairfield

Following reports from residents regarding anti-social behaviour involving off-road bikes in the Fairfield area, neighbourhood officers conducted patrols yesterday. During these patrols, we located a bike and rider who made off from police, but after a quick search of the area it was located and seized for Sec 165, no insurance.  
We are committed to serving our community and  this is one of the priorities that you have told us is important to you.

If you are thinking of buying your child an off road bike for Christmas, consider the following rules:

 *      Where you can ride:  Off-road bikes are illegal on public spaces, parks, pavements, footpaths, and open land without explicit      landowner permission.       
  *      Consequences: Illegal use can lead to the immediate seizure or crushing of the bike, heavy fines, penalty points on a driving licence, or parental liability if a minor is involved.
