Live Facial Recognition operation |

Dear Residents,
On 1 October 2026, Uxbridge Town Centre conducted a Live Facial Recognition (LFR) operation aimed at helping locate wanted offenders and individuals with outstanding court warrants, while also providing reassurance to the local community. This was the fourth LFR operation carried out in Uxbridge Town Centre this year.
During the operation, 12 Police Constables (PCs) and 2 Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) were deployed. Officers engaged with members of the public and answering questions about LFR. The operation resulted in two wanted offenders being arrested, and a further nine persons of interest being spoken to by police. Officers also engaged with residents and local businesses throughout the day, explaining the purpose of the operation and how the technology supports public safety. This was a positive result for the town centre, demonstrating how technology and community-focused policing can work together to help keep Uxbridge safe.
We understand how important it is for residents to feel safe in their town centre. Please be reassured that we are actively patrolling the area, responding to incidents, and taking action where necessary.
You will continue to see us on patrol. If you have any concerns, questions, or information, please feel comfortable approaching us. We are here for you. If you need to contact us: 📞 Emergency: 999
Thank you for your continued support and engagement with us. It really does help us keep Uxbridge Town Centre a safe and welcoming place for everyone.
