As we approach all these exiting seasons we would like to remind you members of the public to celebrate responsibly and keep safety at the heart of every celebration..

Fireworks can be very enjoyable, but if handled carelessly, they can cause serious injuries, fires, and damages to property, we therefore urge everyone to observe the following safety precautions:

. (Buy fireworks responsibly..) -Only purchase fireworks from authorised sellers and follow all safety instructions.

. (Keep children supervised..) - Never allow children to handle or light fireworks without appropriate adult supervision.

. (Keep safe distance..) - Never stand too close to fireworks, this can be very dangerous and harmful if anything was to go wrong.

We also remind parents and guardians to educate their children about the dangers and risks of playing with fireworks and to ensure the celebrations do no become a source of harm or disturbance to the community.

As your police service, our priority is to protect lives, maintain public order and ensure that everyone enjoys a peaceful and safe festive season, let us all play our part by celebrating responsibly respecting one another and keeping our communities safe..
