Unverified information shared on social media

Dear Resident

You may have seen a post on social media about a serious sexual assault in Babbs Mill Park last night. 

However, we have not received any reports of this nature and at this stage no evidence has been found to suggest this has happened.

We would urge people not to share unverified information online and be aware of the concern this can cause in communities. 

Anyone who has been subjected to a sexual assault is urged to report it to us. You can do this by calling 101 or 999 if you’re in immediate danger.
