Grafitti in Cricklade - Update from the neighbourhood policing team |
||
|
Hello Resident, We would like to update the community following the recent series of graffiti offences across Cricklade. Following enquiries by the Neighbourhood Policing Team, two 14-year-old boys have been arrested in connection with the incidents. During interview, one admitted responsibility for the damage to the Hatchett's noticeboard, while the other admitted responsibility for the majority of the graffiti offences reported to police. Both suspects have been released on bail with conditions while we continue to work with the Youth Justice Service to determine the most appropriate outcome. We understand the impact these offences have had on residents, businesses, and the wider community, and we would like to thank everyone who provided information and supported the investigation. We also recognise the efforts of those involved in cleaning and repairing the damage. PC Jeremy Williams said: "I would like to thank Cricklade Town Council and the local community for their patience, support and assistance throughout this investigation. "The information provided by residents has been invaluable in helping us identify those responsible. Whilst this does not undo the impact these offences have had on the town, I hope this update provides reassurance that the matter has been taken seriously and that positive action has been taken. "Thank you for your continued support." | ||
