Ahead of the fair, here are some tips and advice to help you stay safe: · Leave any valuables such as electronic devices , jewellery and credit cards at home. Only take with you what you absolutely need and remember to lock all windows and doors before you leave your home and car
· Consider using one of the park and ride services if possible
· If you are driving, park in a well-lit, busy area and agree on a pre-arranged meeting place should you become separated from friends or family
· Consider wearing clothes that have pockets with zips to keep your money and mobile phones secure
· If you are taking small children to the fair, take a photo of them beforehand so we can see exactly what they are wearing should they go missing
· Write your contact details on a piece of paper and put it in the pocket of the children that you are taking so we can get in touch if we find them
· Just in case you need them, make sure you are familiar with the location of first aid, the police and the lost/found children offices.
If you see anything suspicious, immediately report it to a police officer, PCSO, steward or fairground staff.
Thank you and hope you enjoy all the fun of the fair
