Are you thinking of buying an E-Scooter for Christmas ? Have you considered the Law regarding their use. Privately owned E-Scooters CANNOT be used on the roads, pavements, cycle lanes or any other public space, they can only be used on private land with the owners permission.
What can happen if you are stopped whilst using one ? The E-Scooter will be seized by the Police and can be disposed of. You may be liable for prosecution which could result in points on your driving licence and a fine.
What if my child is stopped on an E-Scooter I brought for them? If your child is under the age of 16yrs and you have brought them the E-Scooter then you will also be liable for prosecution and can also receive points on your licence.
Consider if it is worth it !!
