Fraud operating in the Ilkley/ Burley area

Dear All,

As always when we send these message out we dont intend to scare people, but we do need your help to get this message out and prevent any further incidents.

Over the last week we have had two occurrences where vulnerable people have been telephoned by fraudsters claiming to be from their bank security department.  The story goes along the lines that their account has been subject to fraudulant activity  and they need to  returns their bank cards by the courier that will arrive shortly.

Please can you make anyone you think might be vulnerable to this type of fraud aware that banks will never ask you to return the cards or transfer the money to a different account.
