I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Highways obstructions, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey. We are aware of the issues with Cnap Llwyd Road and will pay attention in the area when we can. As frustrating as the situation is, the enforcement of 'No Motor Vehicles, except for access' contraventions is tricky. Vehicles are allowed to use the road for accessing any properties or businesses, including those on Castle Graig Road. This could be residents, visitors or businesses delivering to properties. It’s also got two access points which makes it difficult to stop each driver and speak to them and see what their intentions are for using the road. If you ever experience this issue or have information regarding an incident, please report it using our online reporting tools at https://www.south-wales.police.uk, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, you can stay 100 per cent anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
