🚔 Community Road Safety Update – St John's Road, Uxbridge 🚔
Keeping our roads safe is a shared responsibility, and recently your local policing teams joined colleagues for a large-scale traffic operation on St John's Road, opposite Riverside Way, Uxbridge, aimed at tackling dangerous driving and protecting all road users. During the operation, officers focused on a range of offences, including: ✅ Using a mobile phone while driving
The operation delivered positive results, with outcomes including arrests, vehicle seizures and numerous Traffic Offence Reports (TORs) issued to drivers committing offences. While enforcement is an important part of policing, the primary aim of these operations is to keep our community safe. Every day, local residents, school children, cyclists, motorcyclists and pedestrians use these roads. Drivers who choose to ignore the law place themselves and others at unnecessary risk.
We would like to thank residents who continue to report concerns to us. Community intelligence helps us identify problem locations, target our resources effectively and take action against those who make our roads less safe. By working together, we can continue making a positive difference across Uxbridge and the wider Hillingdon area.
Before setting off on any journey, please remember to:
🔹 Ensure your vehicle is insured, taxed and roadworthy If you have information about dangerous driving, cloned vehicles, uninsured drivers, vehicle crime, drug driving or anti-social use of vehicles, please report it to us. 📞 999 if a crime is in progress or there is an immediate danger. Thank you for your continued support. Together, we can make our roads safer and help keep Uxbridge a safe place to live, work and travel.
