Officers from Greater Manchester Police recently worked alongside the Oldham Licensing Team to tackle the sale of illegal tobacco products within the borough.

During the operation, a quantity of suspected illicit tobacco and cigarettes were seized from local premises. The sale of illegal tobacco undermines legitimate businesses, deprives the public purse of vital revenue, and can place communities at risk through the supply of unregulated products.

These proactive visits form part of our ongoing commitment to keeping Oldham's communities safe and supporting businesses that operate within the law. We will continue to work closely with partner agencies to identify and disrupt criminal activity wherever it occurs.
