Taking Residents’ ASB Concerns Seriously | Thurlow Gardens
On 6 October 2026, PCSO Naz carried out a foot patrol around Thurlow Gardens, off New North Road, following concerns raised by a resident experiencing ongoing anti-social behaviour (ASB). I patrolled the alleyway and spoke with residents from both Franklyn Gardens and Thurlow Gardens to better understand the concerns affecting the local community. During my patrol, I identified that the alleyway is relatively hidden, with no CCTV coverage or street lighting, which residents believe is contributing to people using the location to cause ASB. A resident has even placed information on a nearby tree highlighting the problems being experienced in the area, as shown in the photograph. Despite residents making their concerns clear, the location continues to be an issue. I am taking this matter very seriously. I will be looking to work with LBR, the local councillor and our partners to explore what can be done to reduce ASB and make this location safer for residents. This is exactly the kind of challenge I am prepared to take on. Residents deserve to feel safe, supported and able to enjoy peace in their own neighbourhood. My commitment is simple: listen to residents, identify the problem, work with our partners and keep pushing for positive change. High Availability patrols. Community engagement. Partnership working. Taking action.
