Ratha Yatra 2026 | Community Engagement Across Ilford |
||
|
Yesterday, officers from Valentines, Newbury and Cranbrook Safer Neighbourhood Teams proudly supported the Ratha Yatra Festival, maintaining a visible presence throughout the event from Valentines Park to Ilford High Road. Our officers engaged with residents, festival-goers, volunteers and community members, helping to ensure the procession remained safe and enjoyable for everyone involved. It was fantastic to see so many people coming together to celebrate, and we greatly appreciated the warm conversations and positive interactions throughout the day. Events like these provide an excellent opportunity to strengthen relationships with our communities, offer reassurance, and connect with those we serve. Thank you to all organisers, volunteers and attendees who helped make the event such a success.
