What have we been up to in the last few days?
We had a report from a member of the public over concerns about Anti-social Behaviour and drug taking at a park in Spondon. Our Police officers were first on scene where the suspected dealer made a speedy getaway on his bike, however the four people who remain there were stopped and searched and a good amount of Cannabis was found and recovered.
Officers were on patrol and responded to a call about a driver under the influence of drink or drugs. Driver and passengers were stopped and found to have a quantity of Cannabis in the vehicle.
Today our PCSO attended an incident in Oakwood of reports of a Surron bike riding around a residential area. Our Police officers then joined and assisted and subsequently the Surron was then located at a nearby address. Utilising the revised Section 59 powers, the Surron was seized and recovered.
No Warning Needed: Police officers and PCSOs no longer need to issue a 12-month warning notice before taking enforcement action. Immediate Seizure: Vehicles can now be seized on the very first instance of careless, inconsiderate, or nuisance driving that causes alarm, distress, or annoyance.
Off road bike and illegal electric bikes/scooters are part of our Neighbourhood priorities that are helped set by the members of the public in our community. If you have any concerns about them being ridden in your area please do report it to the Police at the time as this really does help with intelligence gathering and being able to take these bikes of the streets.
You can also report it by our website or anonymously via Crime Stoppers website. | ||
