Peckham Rye: Our Highlights this week

Peckham Rye: Our Highlights this week

Last week we said a fond farewell to PCSO Sofia, who is leaving the team to pursue the next stage of her policing career. Sofia has already begun her training to become a Police Constable and whilst we are sad to see her go, we are incredibly proud of her achievement and wish her every success in her new role. We thank her for all her hard work and dedication to the ward and know she will be a fantastic officer.

We are also pleased to welcome PCSO Tanackovic to the ward. Since joining, she has been spending time out on patrol, familiarising herself with the area, getting to know the local residents and businesses and learning more about the ward’s key issues and location hotspots.

Building relationships and understanding the community’s concerns will help ensure we continue to provide an effective and visible policing presence across our ward.

Our officers have continued to conduct regular high-visibility patrols throughout the week, focusing on areas identified through community feedback and recent reports. We remain committed to tackling anti-social behaviour, preventing crime and engaging with those who live, work and visit Peckham Rye.

Alongside this, officers have been carrying out targeted patrols and enquiries to identify and apprehend wanted offenders in the ward.

As always if you see us out and about, please stop and say hello. Your feedback and local knowledge are invaluable in helping us keep the ward a safe and welcoming place.
