Appeal for Information Following Burglary at Tadcaster Bowling Club

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for information following a burglary at Tadcaster Bowling Club, believed to have occurred between Wednesday 30th September and Thursday 1st October 2026.

Sadly, this is now the second occasion in recent months that the club has been targeted. Despite increased police patrols in the area and enhanced security measures being implemented by the club, persons unknown have once again gained entry to the premises.

Local officers are carrying out enquiries and are asking for the public's assistance. We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen suspicious activity, or individuals acting suspiciously in the vicinity of the bowling club during the period in question.

We would also encourage residents and businesses in the area to review any CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage which may assist the investigation.

PC Nicholas Woods of the Neighbourhood Policing Team said:

“It is extremely disappointing that Tadcaster Bowling Club has once again been targeted by offenders. The club is a valued part of the local community, and we are working to identify those responsible. We are asking anyone with information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to come forward and speak with us.”

Members of the public are also reminded to report any future sightings of unauthorised persons acting suspiciously at the location to police immediately. Prompt reporting allows officers to attend and investigate at the earliest opportunity.

Anyone with information relating to this incident is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police via 101 or online. If a crime is in progress or an immediate police response is required, always dial 999.
