I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Anti-social Behaviour - General, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey. Bournemouth South NPT – Your Weekly Update It’s been another busy week for your Bournemouth South Neighbourhood Policing Team. We’ve been working alongside colleagues and local partners to respond to serious offences, address concerns about rooftop access and support vulnerable residents. Serious violence – arrests made Our officers supported colleagues from the Boscombe team with an arrest following a GBH offence in the Gardens. We also arrested four people in Bournemouth in connection with a GBH investigation involving a serious injury to a person’s ear. Beales and other buildings roofs, we are listening to your concerns. We understand the concerns raised by local residents about young people accessing the roofs of the former Beales building and the serious risks this can create. This week, officers arrested a male for repeatedly breaching his bail conditions. We are taking these concerns seriously and are continuing to focus on the area. Officers have carried out plain-clothes patrols to help identify and deter young people from accessing rooftops. We will continue to take appropriate action where offences or breaches are identified. Cuckooing checks: We have continued carrying out cuckooing checks, visiting properties and looking for signs that vulnerable people may be being exploited or that their homes are being taken over for criminal activity. If you have concerns about someone’s welfare or believe a person may be being exploited, please report this to Dorset Police. Stop and searches: Officers have also carried out stop and searches in response to intelligence and concerns shared by the community. This helps us disrupt criminal activity and identify those involved. Working with you: We know these issues matter to local residents, and we will continue to listen, patrol and take action where we can. Thank you to everyone who has shared information and raised concerns with us. Your reports help us understand what is happening locally and target our resources where they are needed most. If you have information about crime, anti-social behaviour or concerns in your neighbourhood, please report it to Dorset Police.
