🚔 NTF VAWG Operation | Thanet 🌙

On 01/10/2026, Neighbourhood Task Force officers carried out proactive patrols across Thanet, including the areas of Margate, Ramsgate and Broadstairs in support of Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) priorities. 👮‍♂️👮‍♀️

Across the evening, we received a number of positive results. We:

✅ Monitored and gathered intelligence on local nominals linked to concerning behaviour.

✅ Multiple safeguarding interventions with vulnerable individuals and those in the night-time economy.

✅ Several stop searches conducted under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

✅ Two positive cannabis finds, with offenders dealt with by way of Community Resolutions.

✅ Officers challenged behaviour causing concern to members of the public and disrupted potential VAWG-related incidents.

💬 The operation provided a visible policing presence, reassurance to the public, valuable intelligence opportunities and positive engagement with the local community.

💙We aim to complete more operations across the District, with an aim to continue receiving positive results to reassure the community.
