ASB bikes Concerns remain regarding youths using motorbikes to cause anti-social behaviour on local parks and open spaces. Officers continue to gather information and intelligence to identify those involved. Targeted patrols have been carried out in affected areas, and we are working closely with the community to obtain information and address concerns. This work remains ongoing, with patrols and engagement continuing to deter offending and identify those responsible. Theft store Work continues to tackle theft from stores across the beat area. The neighbourhood team has assisted investigations by obtaining key evidence, including witness statements and exhibits, and engagement has taken place with affected staff members. More recently, a prolific offender was arrested and charged with 21 offences, including breaches of a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO), following work by the Safer Streets Team with support from Response and Neighbourhood officers. The offender was remanded in custody pending court proceedings. High-visibility patrols have continued to take place in affected areas to provide reassurance, deter offending, and maintain engagement with local businesses. This remains an ongoing priority, with officers continuing to work closely with retailers and partner agencies to reduce offending and support victims. Drugs Work continues to gather intelligence to support potential warrant applications relating to suspected drug activity within the beat area. Officers are actively developing information and carrying out enquiries to identify those involved and disrupt associated criminality. The neighbourhood team is also working closely with Charnwood Borough Council (CBC) to conduct joint visits and explore longer-term solutions to address ongoing drug-related issues and their impact on the community. This partnership approach aims to tackle both the immediate concerns and the underlying causes of offending. Patrols and intelligence-led activity will continue as part of this ongoing priority. |
