Could you be the next Mounted Unit Stable Manager?

Could you be the next Mounted Unit Stable Manager?

Dear Resident,

You are receiving this message as you have registered an interest in horse watch on our WMNow neighbourhood alert system, and therefore may have an interest in this role.

West Midlands Police are looking for a Stable Manager to join the newly formed Mounted Unit.

This is a police staff role for one individual who will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities and administration of the force's stable facilities.

The Stable Manager will supervise a team of police staff equine grooms, managing yard duties, police horse welfare and assisting with financial budgets.

Applicants should have relevant equine experience and a background in managing people.

While this is not an operational policing role, you will sit alongside Mounted Sergeants to ensure that the unit can deploy across the West Midlands, with horse welfare at the heart of everything you do.

You’ll be based at our Tally Ho! site in the Edgbaston area of Birmingham and must hold a valid UK driving licence.

We anticipate this being a popular opportunity and therefore recommend applications are submitted early to avoid disappointment. You can find out more information and apply by clicking the link below.
