School Visit - Newbridge School

School Visit - Newbridge School

Dear Residents,

Today, myself and PC 1208 visited Newbridge School to conduct a reassurance patrol and walk-around during the students' dinner break. It is important for Neighbourhood Policing Teams to work closely with schools and young people to build positive relationships, foster trust and confidence in the police, and provide a visible and approachable presence within the school community.

These visits give officers the opportunity to engage with students in an informal setting, listen to any concerns they may have, offer crime prevention and personal safety advice, and identify any emerging issues affecting young people. Maintaining strong links with schools also helps support early intervention, safeguarding, and partnership working, ensuring that students feel safe both within school and in the wider community.

During the visit, officers spoke with students and staff, provided a visible presence around the school grounds, and helped promote positive engagement between young people and the police. Overall, the visit was well received and contributed towards strengthening relationships between the school, its students, and the Neighbourhood Policing Team.

Kind regards

PCSO 6596 Rose
