ward panel update |

|
Yesterday, we attended our local Ward Panel, where seven members of the public, including local councillors, attended to discuss local issues and concerns.
During the meeting, we provided a briefing on crime reduction within the ward, highlighting the decrease in crime levels compared with the previous year. We also discussed current crime trends, ongoing policing activity, and measures being taken to further reduce crime and anti-social behaviour. Everyone attending was given the opportunity to raise concerns, ask questions and receive crime prevention advice. The meeting helped strengthen community engagement and promote confidence in local policing.
We are currently looking for a new Ward Panel Chair. If anyone is interested in taking on this role, please reply to this message. The role includes: • Attending and speaking in Ward Panel meetings • Setting up new Ward Panel dates • Representing the community • Helping establish local policing priorities • Being the main link between the community and the Safer Neighbourhoods Policing Team We would welcome expressions of interest from residents who would like to help represent the community, lead meetings and work with local partners to address neighbourhood concerns.
