Update following the Swarcliffe and Whinmoor Community Forum, which was held on the 15th September 2026.

You wanted to see more patrols and speed checks, due to vehicles speeding.
☑We Did….
Deploy with the pro-laser speed gun on the 27th September 2026, to conduct speed checks across:
Whinmoor Gardens
Ringwood Avenue
Skelton Lane
Coal Road
Naburn Approach
Several motorists were stopped and educated at the roadside, for going slightly over the speed limit. 🚓
Moving Forward….
We will be conducting further speed checks across the ward over the coming weeks and encourage motorists to drive responsibly, safely, and legally.
A special thanks to everyone who attended the Community Forum, we will continue to deploy to address the Road Safety concerns raised and publish any positive outcomes achieved.
