Witness appeal following reported assault in Poole

Detectives investigating a report of an assault in Poole are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Dorset Police received a report at 4.01pm on Tuesday 29 September 2026 of a fight involving two men in Middlebere Crescent.

It was reported that one of the men had sustained a head injury during the incident.

Officers attended but it was reported the men had left the scene.

Following enquiries, officers arrested a 41-year-old man from Poole on suspicion of affray. He was subsequently taken to hospital for treatment to a head injury not believed to be serious.

He remains in police custody at this time.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

Detective Inspector Marie Greer, of Dorset Police, said: “We are carrying out a detailed investigation into this incident and I would urge any witnesses who have not already had contact with police to please get in touch.

“I would also urge any motorists with dashcam who were in the area of Middlebere Crescent around the relevant time to please review their footage to see if they have captured anything that might assist our investigation.”
