THEFT OF VEHICLE - GOIT SIDE BD1

Dear Resident

Community Alert: Vehicle Theft – City Centre

Time/Date: Monday 28th September between 0945hrs-1300hrs.

The victim parked their vehicle on a city centre street outside Southgate Car Park. Upon returning to the location, they discovered that the vehicle was no longer there. The vehicle is believed to have been stolen by unknown suspect(s).

Did you see anything suspicious? Were you in the area at the time? Do you have CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage that may help identify those responsible?

Crime Prevention Advice:

Always lock your vehicle and ensure windows are fully closed.

Never leave keys, spare keys, or valuables inside your vehicle.

Consider using additional security devices such as steering wheel locks, trackers, or immobilisers.

If your vehicle has keyless entry, keep keys in a Faraday pouch to prevent signal theft.

Park in well-lit areas where possible and consider secure car parks.
