Dear residents, 

Darker nights are upon us which unfortunately brings a rise in ASB with fireworks. We are receiving numerous reports of youths in Ordsall Park setting bins on fire and using fireworks. This behaviour will not be tolerated. 

Using fireworks irresponsibly puts people at risk, causes damage and and creates fear within our communities. We are currently working through CCTV footage from the area and identifying any youths involved. 

We are urging parents and carers to speak with young people about the dangers of fireworks and bonfires. 

If you see fireworks being used to intimidate, harass or cause nuisance please report via 101 or GMP live chat. We also encourage residents to report anyone selling fireworks to under 18s.
