Monthly Community Update from Sgt Matthew Wells – September 2026

Hello Resident

I hope this message finds you well. As we move through September, I wanted to share a quick round-up of what’s been happening across our local area, what’s coming up, and how we’re working together to keep our community safe and thriving.

🔍 Local Priorities

Our current focus areas remain the same:

High volume of thefts from shops in Milford Haven

Community Concerns have been raised in relation to drug activity and associated ASB in the vicinity of Milford Haven

A range of anti-social behaviour incidents have been reported in Milford Haven

Additionally:

Speeding vehicles in and around Neyland

Youth engagement and Diversion activities

Suspicious behaviour around public conveniences

We’re continuing patrols and targeted operations in these areas, and welcome any feedback or concerns you’d like to raise.

🤝 Partnership Working

We’ve been working closely with:

Milford Haven Port Authority – regarding Antisocial behaviour and other issues in and around the Port area

Local Shops – to set up the Steel and Be Banned scheme (SABB)

Local Patrols with Trading Standards, Housing Officers, Dog Warden – to offer advice and support

These collaborations are helping us respond more effectively and holistically to community needs.

📅 Important Dates and upcoming events

10th - 17th October 2026 – Hate Crime Awareness Week, during which the Neighbourhood Policing Team will be holding a number of events

7th October (5.30pm) – Cuppa with a Copper at McDonalds

14th October (10.30am) – Cuppa with a Copper at Tesco

Date to be confirmed - Bicycle marking at Hubberston Community Centre

We’d love to see you there—these events are a great way to connect and share ideas.
