Anti Social Behaviour Update

Here’s a quick update on anti-social behaviour locally. We know it can be distressing, but we’re working closely with partners to make the area safer and support residents. 
 

On 21/09/2026, officers attended an address in the Firhill Road area due to reports of a closure order on the property being breached. When officers arrived, there was one male at the location who was arrested by police for failing to comply with the closure order; he has since been bailed to appear at court on 08/10/2026 where we expect a guilty plea and conviction for the offence. The closure order was applied for by police with the support of the housing association and support services to protect the vulnerable resident who resides. The housing association that owns the property has a court hearing at the start of October 2026 to repossess the property. Police, the housing association, and support services have been working closely over the last year to support the vulnerable resident at the location as well.
